The CM Singers, directed by Monique Creber, are a vibrant and versatile vocal performance ensemble dedicated to learning and performing a broad range of contemporary repertoire. Whether it’s pop, jazz, classic rock or musical theatre, The CM Singers perform it with style and flair. The group’s members (ages 6 to teen) work towards a variety of performance and recording opportunities each year, from stand-alone concerts to festivals to guest appearances with professional performers.

Over the years, the CM Singers have been featured performers in many concerts and events. They have appeared with renowned artists such as The Rankin Sisters, The Nylons, Michael Burgess and children’s entertainers Judy & David and Norman Foote. They have performed in a wide variety of venues such as Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre, North Vancouver’s Centennial Theatre, West Vancouver’s Kay Meek Theatre, Whistler’s Millennium Place, the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver and Canada Day stages.

Seasoned veterans of the recording studio, the CM Singers have recorded vocals on albums for international artists such as Raffi (Let’s Play, Country Goes Raffi and Resisto Dancing), Norman Foote (Domestic Rendez-vous) and musical theatre star Michael Crawford (The Disney Album). They can also be heard on two compilation CDs: Helping Hands: West Coast Artists For UNICEF (2005) and The Magic of Christmas (2003). The CM Singers have worked in all the major Vancouver recording studios including The Warehouse, Blue Wave, Bakerstreet, Harbourside, Eaglecliff and Armoury Studios.
On television, the CM Singers’ vocals have been heard with Michael Crawford on ABC’s Live with Regis & Kelly, as well as during Raffi’s appearance on the CBC’s live Tribute to Nelson Mandela. Most recently, The CM Singers were featured on the DVD soundtrack of the widely distributed “Wonders of the Farm”.
