Michael Creber: one of BC’s most sought-after piano and keyboard players, Michael is a versatile performer, a skilled musical director and a sensitive accompanist, comfortable in almost any genre, from jazz and blues to classical, folk, country, musical theatre and pop. His credits include performances with numerous high profile artists (k.d. lang, The Rankin Sisters, David Foster, Raffi, The Irish Rovers), major theatre productions (Miss Saigon, Tommy, Rent) and countless corporate events (Xerox, Canadian Financial Planners, Aventis). Howe Sounds: Four fabulous singers, one sensational sound!
A hot vocal group comprised of four unique and successful solo recording artists; Monique Creber, Angela Kelman, Steve Maddock and David Steele, [link to bio pages on Howe Sounds site] Howe Sounds produce beautiful harmonies, a smooth blend and fabulous four-part arrangements in any musical style. Michael Creber Trio: featuring Michael Creber on piano, Miles Hill (bass) and Buff Allen (drums), this accomplished jazz trio performs polished standards and originals – a great way to add a real touch of class to any event. They have recorded an album of original music, Smooth Sailing, and have been featured on CBC radio’s nationally broadcast JazzBeat, as well as on Vancouver’s Hot Air.
Brasileiro: featuring Monique Creber (vocals) and Michael Creber (piano), backed up by two to six excellent musicians, depending on the event. This cool ensemble plays Brazilian-flavoured jazz standards and originals with influences including Jobim and Gilberto Gill, suited to a variety of occasions and especially perfect for a warm summer’s day. Performance credits include Harrison Festival of the Arts, restaurants, private parties and two years in the Vancouver International Jazz Festival.

Among his other accomplishments, Michael Creber is in demand as a musical director thanks to his excellent musicianship, professionalism, reliability, leadership skills and vast experience. He has fulfilled the role of musical director in major theatres across North America and has worked with bands or casts of all sizes. Credits include: Raffi in concert, Tapestry: The Music of Carole King, Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, Edith Wallace in concert, Divas For Life, Ron Kalmakoff in concert and 10 years of The Magic of Christmas (annual benefit concerts/variety shows).
Monique Creber is a musical/vocal director with a particular strength for working in concerts or shows that involve multiple vocalists or young performers. She has strong leadership skills and is hard working, organized, professional, reliable and experienced. Unlike some singers, Monique is also a keyboard player who is well versed in contemporary styles and music/chart reading, enabling her to effectively communicate with all band members.
